ITINERARY
Departure at 8 am passing by many small towns until Yungay. On the way you can made photo stop from the various viewing points. Once in Yungay you will visit “campo santo” the buried city in the earthquake in 1970, a guided tour will take you at around 45 minutes on which the guide will share with you the history of it. Continuing we’ll reach the new Yungay city on where the vehicle will take a detour and start ascending through a dusty road towads Llanganuco Valley arriving first to the limits of the National park where you have to register and pay your entrance fee. Going on the trip after 20- 30 minutes fron here you’ll finally get the first lake. Once you get out of the vehicle you can walk along the shore r you can sail in small boats. Admiring the view of the majectis Huascaran Mountain and other peaks as well. After some time you’ll return by the same path until Yungay and the you’ll head toward Caraz because there you can visit some places on where the native people make the typical sweets and of course you can leave Caraz without having tried the traditional ice cream which is considered as the most delicious and natural from the Callejon de Hauylas. Finally you will return to Huaraz.
